Facebook additions
Facebook seems to have quietly added search-as-you-type in the box on the left… nice
I’m going to be heading back to Cambridge this Saturday – ready for term starting on Tuesday. It’s been a great holiday, but I am rather looking forward to going back, and even, possibly, just a little bit looking forwards to the work side of it. I’ve mostly spent the last couple of weeks at home, doing various minor tasks, making the ACTS Guide happen, writing an essay for last year’s psychology supervisor (groan) and some web-by things for both my own site and societies. I’ve not managed every last thing I wanted to get done, but it’s generally been fairly productive – I’ve started implementing a few bits of the GTD system that I blogged about previously. I’m not all the way there – still not sure if I’ll be better off using Gmail as my catchall system or my PDA, or if I can justify using both… but that will have to go slightly on the backburner now that the actual onslaught of work is about to begin! (How ironic…)
I’ve got plenty to be up to in the coming week – ADC freshers’ events, including shifts at the CUSU Freshers Fair, and a Squash; sound-opping a night of Cymbeline at the Arts Theatre (as of yesterday night); pre-term academic meetings, choosing a project, etc etc; getting the ACTS guide into the hands of as many freshers as possible; Lindy Hop, an ADC bar shift, and of course lectures! They’re likely to be 9am most days, sadly, but only 5 days a week now – which isn’t too bad! I could have them spread over the whole day, though, as last year there were a mix of morning and afternoon ones for each course
Roll on Michaelmas…
